APEX Antiques at Maling Road

 APEX Antiques is located at Gallery 11, inside the iconic Maling Road Antique Centre. The center forms an integral part of the retail mixture of Melbourne's famous Historic Maling Road Shopping Precinct, in the leafy eastern suburb of Canterbury. Just 15 minutes from the CBD via train (less by car) and less than a 2-minute walk from Canterbury railway station.

  APEX Antique Traders has been operating continuously since 2006 at various locations. Since early 2019 however we have found our home amongst the seasoned Industry Professionals at Maling Road Antique Centre. Owned and operated by antique industry stalwart Lindsay Newstead. Lindsay opened the Center over 35 years ago and has been operating from the same location ever since. Maling Road Antique Centre was such a good fit for APEX we made the decision to make this move a more permanent arrangement and renamed ourselves APEX Antiques at Maling Road.  It is at this stellar location we have been able to offer our most extensive range of Affordable Quality Antiques, Vintage, and Collected Old Wares to date.

 Our philosophy is simple, we believe Antiques and Desirable Objects should be available to all, budget notwithstanding. With this in mind APEX offers a constantly changing range of Antiques, Decorative Arts, and Vintage Wares, including; Furniture, Lighting, China, Crystal, Art Glass, Militaria, Curios, Silver & Vertu from Georgian to Mid-Century as well as Ethnographica, 18th, 19th and 20th Century Chinese & Japanese Export Wares and so much more besides at a range of prices from the very affordable through to aspirational.

  Regardless of whether you are shopping for that special piece of statement furniture, that elusive piece of China or art glass to enhance or complete your set, a gift for a loved one, or even just out for some heavy-duty window shopping, we have new inventory arriving  weekly so chances are, APEX Antiques at Maling Road has the piece for you and our regularly changing vignette's provide some inspiration for your own décor at home while ensuring there's always something unique, fresh and well presented to see. 

 The objects we sell tend to come from one of two main areas, what we see as the most desirable and sought after pieces regardless of period, those that range From the Unique to the Iconic. The Unique encompasses one of a kind, artisan crafted objects, the kind that will ensure nobody will ever have the same piece as you. These objects allow you to express your own individual design identity and personality by offering a completely bespoke approach to telling your interior story. Conversely, Iconic pieces are those objects that collectors, designers, you & I all know and love, the pieces that upon first glance immediately evoke a sense of the era from which they came or the hand of the designer or craftsman whom created them.  They are the true Icons of design that can never be faked. Although diametrically opposed, these two ends of the spectrum are and always will be the most sought after and desirable objects to those with an eye for something less ordinary and consequently the ones we endeavor to bring to you at APEX Antiques at Maling Road.
